Cara Mudah Menjebol Windows XP & Vista

Pagi ini saya mencoba menjebol password salah satu komputer di laboratorium sekolah dengan menggunakan OPHcrack. Sengaja saya berikan password dengan jumlah 10 karakter gabungan huruf dan angka. Hebat, password terbongkar... Trims pak Onno atas sharingnya di forum opensource & milisnya... Kalau gak dapat info dari beliau, saya mungkin masih saja melakukan "FORMAT & INSTALL" jika tidak tahu passwordnya :P

OPHcrack adalah disribusi Linux SLAX mengandung ophcrack 2.3 untuk menguji kekebalan password di Windows dan mampu membongkar dalam sekejap.

The free, open source Ophcrack Live CD is a Windows account password cracking tool designed to help you recover lost Windows passwords.

After you download the 462mb .iso and burn it to a CD, just restart your computer and boot up the Live CD. Once the CD boots, Ophcrack automatically loads and is on its way to cracking your password. So how well does it work?

Honestly... Ophcrack is creepy. It cracked my (somewhat mediocre) 13-character alphanumeric password in about 5 minutes. Like most powerful tools, Ophcrack can be used for the forces of both good and evil, but for anyone who's been locked out of their Windows user account because you can't remember your password, Ophcrack can be very good. It may also encourage you to beef up the security of your user account password - that's what it did for me.

The ophcrack LiveCD is a bootable Linux CD-ROM containing ophcrack 3.0
and a set of tables (XP free small or vista free depending on the version
you downloaded). It allows for testing the strength of
passwords on a Windows machine without having to install anything on it.
Just put it into the CD-ROM drive, reboot and it will try to find a
Windows partition, extract its SAM and start auditing.

Package

The tables are located in directory 'ophcrack/tables'. Please feel free
to install ophcrack and copy the tables on your harddisk if you want to
use ophcrack outside of the LiveCD.

Release Notes

Version 2.0.1 is a stable public release. This LiveCD is based upon
the Slax LiveCD v6.0.7 (http://slax.org). It has been customized to include
ophcrack 3.0 and free tables set for either Windows XP or Windows Vista.
Ophcrack will auto-detect the amout of free memory and adapts its behaviour
to be able to preload all the tables it can.

A shell script launched at the beginning of the X session does the job
of finding the Windows partition and starting appropriate programs to
extract and crack password hashes. It will look for all partitions that
contains hashes. If more than one are found, you will have to choose between
them.

If your partition is not detected, make sure your the partition containing
the hashes you want to crack is mounted and the use ophcrack 'Load from
encrypted SAM' function to recover your Windows hashes. Then click 'Launch'
and the cracking process will start.

If your graphic card is not detected or you have problems launching the
LiveCD in graphic mode, try launching it in text mode.
